Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to enrolment in and use of tuition services provided by Kai Academy. By enrolling a student, the parent or guardian (or the adult student) agrees to the conditions set out below. They complement our Terms of Use and Data Protection Policy.
Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed once registration is completed and the applicable registration fee is paid. Class placement is subject to availability and, where relevant, a short diagnostic assessment so we can recommend the most suitable class and level.
Fees and Payment
- Tuition fees are billed per block of lessons as set out on our Admissions page. All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD).
- A one-time registration fee applies to new students.
- Fees are payable in advance of the relevant lesson block. Continued attendance depends on fees being up to date.
- Interest-free instalment options may be available for full-year commitments; please ask our administration team for details.
- Fees may be revised from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of any change before it takes effect.
Refunds
Tuition fees are non-refundable once a lesson block has commenced. The registration fee is non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances, requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
Attendance
Students are expected to maintain a minimum 80% attendance rate. Regular attendance is important for progress, and persistent absence may require a parent–tutor meeting to agree a way forward.
Make-Up Classes
Make-up classes may be arranged once per month per subject, subject to availability, provided at least 24 hours' advance notice is given with a valid reason. Make-up classes cannot be guaranteed and are offered at our discretion.
Student Conduct
We ask that all students treat tutors, staff and fellow students with respect and follow reasonable classroom guidelines so that everyone can learn effectively. We reserve the right to address disruptive conduct, including, where necessary, withdrawing a student from a class.
Materials
Notes and materials provided by Kai Academy are for the personal use of enrolled students only and remain our intellectual property. They may not be copied, redistributed or sold without our written permission.
Changes to Classes
We may occasionally need to change a tutor, timing or venue, or move a class online, due to circumstances beyond our control. We will give as much notice as reasonably possible and aim to minimise any disruption.
Liability
While we are committed to high-quality teaching, we do not guarantee any particular examination grade or outcome, as results depend on many factors including each student's own effort. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with our services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant lesson block.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. If you have any questions, please contact us.
